California pushes back school start times for adolescents
Gov. Gavin Newsom signed legislation requiring public and charter schools to implement school start times of 8:30 a.m. or later beginning July 2022. The decision follows American Academy of Pediatrics and American Academy of Sleep Medicine statements about adolescent sleep health.
